Page, AZ (Day 1)

Our first morning in Page, we watched the sunrise at Horseshoe Bend (which was very crowded and commercialized and a bit of a let down honestly). One thing we were very excited to see while we were there was Antelope Canyon (the famous slot canyon with wavy red rock formations), but due to COVID all Navajo parks were closed. Fortunately, someone told us that you can kayak to Antelope canyon and walk around the other side of it without having to enter Navajo park land. This was a very appealing option given the 100+ degree weather so we rented a kayak and headed to Antelope Canyon. We stopped every 5 mins to jump in the water and cool down so the trip took most of the day. We ended the day with a campfire and s’mores at our beautiful airbnb.
